Specialty risk placement
Special risks refer to those risks that are non-traditional or unusual because the person or entity insured is more exposed to certain risks. These unusual risks might be attributed to the dangerous nature of the insured’s profession or industry. As the insurance landscape evolves, there is a gap in the insurance space that is created by new and emerging, as well as evolving risks. These covers are not accommodated in the traditional scopes of insurance coverage and as such, they require specialized underwriting.
